Inglot's AMC Lip Paint, oh how I love thee...

So, if you know me you probably know that if I become obsessed with a product you will hear about it for weeks if not months (and sometimes even years!).
Well, if I haven't professed my love to you about Inglot's Lip Paint, prepare for me to talk your ear off about it.  I know for a fact I have not gotten through a single shoot, private client session or discussion on makeup without talking about Ingot's Lip Paint.  To be honest, I generally make someone try it if I can.

There TRULY is nothing bad I can say about the product.  Inglot is a makeup company out of Poland who only came to the US earlier this year.  In this past year it has blown up!  It only has one store in NYC (48th & Broadway), but I would not be surprised to see them start popping up all over.

Let's do a check list for the Lip Paint:
1) Is the application easy, CHECK
2) Does it have staying power, CHECK
3) Does it feel nice, CHECK
4) Does it smell amazing, CHECK
5) Is it inexpensive, CHECK

The lip paint comes in a small 'jar' as you can see from the photo below.  To use it, you can either use your finger or a lip brush.  Whatever floats your boat.  For me, I like to use a brush, but if I am out and don't have one around, my finger works just as well.  The staying power is fabulous.   That is not to say that you can eat, drink and talk and not have to reapply, it is just to say that it has staying power.  This Lip Paint feels and smells amazing.  It almost conditions your lips while on.  It feels a little creamier than one of my other favorite products in the world, Rosebud Salve, but it has beautiful color too (20 colors to choose from, my favorite is 63).  And, the price tag, is around $12. YOU CANNOT BEAT THE AMAZINGNESS OF THIS PRODUCT.
Ok- sorry, just had to get that out of my system.  :D

The AMC lip paint is also paraben free and not tested on animals!

The downside, you can only purchase it in their stores - not even online.  Also, if you do not like a glossy looking lip color (not shiny, just what you would expect from a non-matte product), then this may not be the product for you.  You may want to look into their lipsticks which I don't know as well, but will be reviewing in the next few months (so, if you go that route, let me know what you think!).
That being said, it is well worth the trip for this fabulous and inexpensive makeup line.
I hope that everyone is enjoying this day and looking forward to the next post.
Hugs and kisses to all,

Yves Saint Laurent TOUCHE ÉCLAT RADIANT TOUCH

Have you ever had a morning where you wake up and you feel tired, worn out or –GASP- hungover?  Did you have YSL TOUCHE ÉCLAT RADIANT TOUCH?  If not, then you probably went out looking tired, worn out or – GASP- hungover.  YSL Touche Éclat is an amazing miracle of a highlighter.  Most people that use it know to put it at the corners of your eye, down the center of your nose and on your brow bone.  But, there are quite a few other places on your face that it really highlights well.

1)    Use it in the inner corner of your eye above the tear duct (socket area), that will brighten your whole eye, making it seem more open and taking away darkness in that area.

2)    Use it lightly on your nasal labial fold, those are the lines that go from your nostril to the outer corner of your mouth aka smile lines

3)    Use it in the hollow of your chin

Basically, it can also brighten up where shadows show the most, like your smile lines.

This product is not nearly as thick as a concealer and it will never cake up.

As YSL states on their website “Touche Éclat is 8 hours of sleep in a pen” and I would say that I truly agree with that.  Of course, with the good, there has to be some bad.  The first issue I whole heartedly blame on YSL.  They sell this product under the “concealer” label.  However, it is not a concealer, it is a highlighter.  If you have light circles and red blotches, will it conceal them?  Absolutely!  But, the biggest review complaint that you will see on this product, beside the price, is that it does not “cure” big under eye circles and blemishes by itself.  THAT IS BECAUSE IT IS NOT A CONCEALER!  Too many people are purchasing this hearing it is a miracle and assuming it is a concealer, it is a highlighter.  It can lighten up and slightly cover light circles and blemishes, but that is just an added bonus of the product.

That being said, if  under eye circles are a problem area for you, I would suggest using this product as the last step on your makeup application instead of the first.  Lighten up a little bit on your normal concealer and use this on top.  You will be amazed by the outcome.

That brings us to the second issue.  The price.  It sells at a painful $40 for a small, yet beautiful, tube.  Is it worth it? I say, without a doubt.  This product can literally wake you up, at least from a visual point of view.  And, let’s be honest, if you know you look better, it makes you feel better.  The size, though very small for the price, is beyond portable.  You can easily slip it into a clutch for a fancy night out or a back pocket if you’re just going out to meet the girls.

This is one of the products I would say 100% spend the extra money.  It is worth it!
I hope you’re having a beautiful night!

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish

Ok- so yes, I know this has been around for a while.  But, MAC’s Mineralize Skinfinish is something that needs to be written about and reviewed over and over again until everyone has it.  Also, their newest color, soft and gentle, is just amazing.

This product is so versatile.  It can be used as bronzer, blush or highlighter.  The beauty of Soft and Gentle is that it seriously works on all skin tones.  Personally, I use it as a highlighter since I haven’t been into bronzer lately.  It is the perfect highlighter.  I’ve used it on clients with very pale skin to clients with dark skin and it highlights then all beautifully.

It gives a stunning, dewey look.  Works on a natural look as well as a more dramatic look.  I’ve even used it as the highlighter after contouring.  Also, try spraying your brush with water and then using it.  It gives it a stronger, deeper look.

Here is a picture of the Soft and Gentle Color
Have a beautiful day!
